NORESCO Awarded $252 Million Contract for Anniston Army Depot Upgrades

WESTBOROUGH, Mass., July 30, 2025 NORESCO, a leading provider of comprehensive energy solutions, was awarded a $252 million contract to install and support advanced industrial infrastructure technologies and solutions at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Alabama. ANAD is a key component of the U.S. Army's Organic Industrial Base (OIB) and plays a critical role in supporting the Army’s readiness and operational capabilities.

Structured through a utility energy service contract (UESC), the project will support ANAD’s mission through high-pressure water blast and wash rack improvements; new automated plating shop processes; new component cleaning, stripping, preparation and powder coat systems; cybersecure energy management and controls system improvements; and LED lighting improvements.

The project aligns with and supports the U.S. Army’s OIB Modernization Implementation Plan, which focuses on five lines of effort: facilities and infrastructure, tolling and processes, workforce, network and cyber, and energy and environment.

“NORESCO is proud to facilitate the Army’s efforts to accelerate implementation of the Army’s OIB Modernization Plan by leveraging performance contracting. This transformative project will reduce energy consumption, enhance safety and improve productivity with new technologies and production processes,” said Doug Sattler, Senior Vice President, Federal, NORESCO.
