Ubicquia Joins National Association of Energy Service Companies’ Growing Affiliate Membership

Intelligent Infrastructure Technology Leader Works with Municipalities, Utilities, and Mobile Operators to Enable Smart Cities and Smart Grid Services

Washington, D.C., August 8, 2022 -- The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), the leading advocacy and accreditation association representing companies modernizing our nation’s building infrastructure through energy efficiency projects, welcomes Ubicquia to its rapidly expanding membership. Ubicquia delivers smart lighting solutions that make cities safer, smarter, and more connected.

Ubicquia recently joined as an energy service affiliate member of NAESCO, a D.C.-based trade association founded in 1983. NAESCO member companies perform energy efficiency retrofits on some of the nation’s most vital infrastructure, including hospitals, educational campuses, municipal facilities, and other public buildings.

Through energy service performance contracts (ESPCs), energy service companies (ESCOs) and service providers upgrade HVAC systems, lighting, water management, indoor air quality, smart metering, and more to reduce buildings’ carbon footprint while increasing cost savings and resiliency for customers and communities. Since 1990, ESCOs have delivered $70 billion in projects paid from savings and saved 480 million tons of carbon emissions.

“We are pleased to welcome Ubicquia to the NAESCO community and our growing affiliate membership,” said NAESCO Executive Director Dr. Timothy D. Unruh. “Ubicquia’s efforts to provide more visibility and data on the health of transformers in North America is making a huge impact in resiliency and efficiency. Companies like Ubicquia will continue to play a pivotal role in driving the net-zero transition and accelerating a more efficient, sustainable future.”

“Joining NAESCO was an easy decision for us. As we focus on enabling critical improvements in grid reliability and intelligence, we are excited to collaborate among this community of companies working every day to deliver sustainability energy solutions,” said Stephen Patak, Chief Revenue Officer, Ubicquia.

Other members of NAESCO include Ameresco, ConEdison Clean Energy Businesses, Honeywell, Siemens, and leading companies in the energy efficiency sector.
