SAERIS™ Launches New Financing Program for Lighting Renovations
CONYERS, Ga. – Feb. 16, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) – In December 2008, SAERIS, a division of Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE:AYI), introduced a new financing program developed to aid building owners in replacing existing lighting systems with new, energy-efficient fixtures that improve the work environment and impact the bottom line.
The SAERIS financing program provides total financing for material and installation services required to do the lighting renovation. The monthly energy savings realized by the building owner then is used to pay off the loan, enabling the owner to reap the benefits without any negative impact to cash holdings. The owner will pay back the loan amount quickly and begin realizing monthly energy cost savings up to 50%.
In addition, an Acuity Brands lighting renovation significantly enhances the visual work environment. A more visually appealing space for employees improves overall morale, and business leaders report productivity increases averaging 15% and reduced absenteeism by another 15%. Once again, the SAERIS financing program enables owners who cannot make an initial investment to realize these benefits immediately, and to receive energy savings over the useful life of the lighting system without any initial outlay of capital.
Omni Die Casting, Inc. of Massillon, Ohio, took advantage of the new SAERIS financing program to fund its lighting renovation, which was completed in mid-December 2008.
