2008 Focus
In 2008, NAESCO will continue to work to promote efficiency as
the “First Fuel.”
NAESCO plans in 2008 include the following activities:
- Continue to work with the Department of Energy staff to
accomplish the following objectives:
- Accelerate the ESPC project award pipeline o Encourage
federal streamlining efforts
- Ensure the presence of a vital ESPC program
- Expand federal organizational capabilities to support
the expected expansion of ESPC investment
- Continue to participate in the state lawmaking and
regulatory process to strengthen and expand robust energy
efficiency programs
- Expand the number and scope of NAESCO training programs for
mix of customer groups
- Celebrate NAESCO’s 25th Anniversary with a federal Market
workshop in the winter, a green technologies conference and jobs
fair in the spring, a nationwide annual conference in the fall
and various meetings, webinars, and workshops throughout the
year.
- Work with colleges and universities to develop energy
efficiency curriculum to educate the next generation of energy
services and energy efficiency professionals.
- Develop protocols for standardizing O&M savings in ESCO
project M&V using a new DOE grant
- Release a NAESCO report on the non-energy benefits of an
energy efficiency retrofit
- Revive the NAESCO Newsletter
