NAESCO Membership
2009 Focus
In 2009, NAESCO will continue to work to promote efficiency as
the "First Fuel".
NAESCO's plans in 2009 include the following activities:
- Continue to work with the Obama Administration and Congress
to ensure that proceeds from the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act are spent wisely and to help them understand
how to make the best use of the ESCO infrastructure that is in
place across the country.
- Continue to participate in the state lawmaking and
regulatory process to strengthen and expand robust energy
efficiency programs.
- Host a Federal Market workshop in the winter, a regional
workshop in the spring focused on Pennsylvania and New Jersey, a
jobs fair in the fall, a nationwide annual conference in the
fall and various meetings, webinars, and workshops throughout
the year.
- Continue offering workshops targeted to state energy offices
and their staff.
- Continue to lead a process to develop M&V protocols for the
standardized evaluation of project operations and maintenance
and capital avoidance values.
- Launch NAESCO communications committee to ensure the message
about the value of performance contracts and the ESCO industry
reaches a broader audience.
